Hansa Rostock is the most important club in the north of East Germany, founded in 1965 in the Baltic Sea port city. The "19 + 65" at the ends of one side is a direct reference to the club's founding year—a way of reclaiming the history and identity of an institution with deep roots in the GDR and a fanbase known for its loyalty and character. Blue and white have been its colors from the beginning.
